Converter Circuit Board

Converter Circuit Board for FG Sensors

The Converter Circuit Board is an interface board designed to simplify the integration of FG Sensors fluxgate magnetometer sensors, such as the FG-3+, with microcontrollers, data acquisition systems, and analog electronics.

The board converts the frequency output of the sensor into an analog voltage signal, making it easier to read magnetic field measurements using standard ADC inputs.

This allows fluxgate sensors to be used in systems that do not support direct frequency measurement.

Key Features

  • Frequency-to-voltage signal conversion
  • Designed for FG-3+ fluxgate magnetometer sensors
  • Analog output compatible with ADC inputs
  • Simplifies integration with microcontrollers
  • Compact PCB design for embedded systems
  • Suitable for research and instrumentation applications

Why Use the Converter Circuit Board

Fluxgate sensors such as FG-3+ output a frequency signal proportional to the magnetic field.

While this signal can be measured directly using timer hardware, many systems require an analog voltage signal instead.

The Converter Circuit Board performs the conversion:

Sensor Frequency Output → Analog Voltage Output

This allows the sensor to be easily connected to:

  • microcontrollers with ADC inputs
  • data acquisition systems
  • PLC systems
  • industrial measurement equipment

Typical System Configuration

A typical setup using the converter board:

FG-3+ Sensor → Converter Circuit Board → ADC / Microcontroller

The converter board measures the sensor frequency and generates a proportional analog voltage output representing the magnetic field.
